The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the sassa status area on a regular basis. The provider position designed for intervention activities a large influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to enable the servicing of all customers and enhance use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
